In planning your AIS program, consider the following questions:
Will the program serve one class, one grade level or the entire school?
Will arts sessions be linked with the academic curricula?
Do you want teachers to actively collaborate with the artist?
Do you want written curricula and follow-up lesson plans?
Do you want a final performance/gallery/celebration?
Do you want to tie into an existing school event
(ie International Day, African American History Celebration)?
Do you want to supplement the program with an assembly at your school or theatre trip through Youth in Arts Presents?
