We invite young artists aged 11-19 to submit proposals for a self-curated visual art show titled “My Voice Matters,” to be displayed at the YIA Gallery. This exhibition aims to highlight the power and significance of student voices through visual art, providing a platform for these emerging artists to express their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives on the world around them.
“My Voice Matters” is more than just a title—it’s a call to action. We encourage you to explore themes of identity, personal experience, social justice, or any other subject that resonates with your sense of self and your role in the world. Your art should reflect your unique voice and how you wish to be heard and understood by others.
Eligibility:
- Artists must be between the ages of 11-19, in middle or high school at the time of submission.
- Artwork must be original and created by the artist submitting the proposal, or by students directly connected to the artist.
- Artists from all backgrounds and levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
