Professional Development for Educators
Youth in Arts offers professional development workshops geared to help teachers address California standards in the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA), integrate arts with existing classroom curriculum, and address new Common Core standards with replicable arts lesson plans. We can provide half-day, full-day and multi-day workshops tailored to your site’s budget at needs.
Youth in Arts has a long commitment to providing arts for students with special needs and we can also provide training in adapting lessons to build accessibility through the arts.
Arts Learning Community–Parents Can Make It Happen
We also offer unique workshops for parents, to help them support their children’s arts learning, build an arts-infused school community, lead engaging and successful art projects for events like school auctions, and become effective classroom volunteers for arts lessons. These are wonderful opportunities for PTA/PTO groups or “parent education night” programs at your school.
