Youth in Arts is celebrating our 50th anniversary with an online gala on this Friday, April 16 – and we have a lot to celebrate! We have served more than 1 million children since our founding.

Please join us for Paint it Gold! There’s still time to get tickets for this wonderful event, which begins at 6 p.m. Don’t miss out on live auction lots like the Modern Glamping Getaway at Mendocino Grove complete with a s’mores kit, or the Golf Learn & Play Package with a private lesson at the Meadow Club, and 2 rounds of golf at the Presidio Golf & Concordia Club. Or how about a tasty Chocolate Art Workshop at Mon Reve Chocolates with local chocolatier Pooneh Yamini?

For inward adventures, there’s a Creative Mindfulness package with two wonderful workshops. One features a virtual art happy hour with Artful Method founder Lucie Charkin. The other is a “Visualization to Manifestation” with Breathing Room’s Hillary Skibell. Or practice serious self care with med-spa service and product basket from San Rafael-based, Alchemy Marin.

All of these amazing offerings will raise money to support Youth in Arts. You can read about our journey in the recent article in the Marin Independent Journal.

When the pandemic hit, Youth in Arts’ Executive Director Kristen Jacobson and her team quickly moved our visual arts, music and performing arts programs online through a new and innovative digital platform, YIArtscor.com.

Youth in Arts now serves about 4,000 students in Marin and Sonoma counties and the East Bay.

“They bring it all,” Pepe Gonzalez, principal of Laurel Dell Elementary School, told the Marin IJ.

“They align the curriculum and build on it each year,” Gonzalez said. “Some students are truly going to thrive in the arts, and there are greater opportunities when the arts is part of the education path.”
