YIA’s Mentor Artist Katy Bernheim spent 10 weeks with the second and fourth graders focusing on portraiture. Students were able to draw, paint and sculpt their self portraits, portraits of friends, and even their favorite animals. See more examples of these fantastic works at Youth in Arts Day at the Marin County Fair, on July 1.
YIA Mentor Artist Julia James worked with third graders to explore a variety of media and techniques including drawing, watercolors, soft pastel and collage.
